This season there will be seven live events on Free to Air, but as seen in the 2020 TV fixtures Fox Sports (Foxtel/Kayo) will provide the most complete V8 Supercars coverage. This includes every practice session, qualifying event and featured race shown live, with the championship races ad-break free, as well as unique camera angles and spectacular graphics.

How to Stream V8 Supercars in Australia
Not everyone currently has, or wants to take on a Foxtel or Telstra subscription. So with this consideration in mind, what other choices do you have when it comes to watching the Supercars Championship? Let’s look at some of the best streaming options available on the Aussie market.
Watch V8 Supercars Race with Channel 10
Channel 10 will broadcast all main races live, so you can watch on TV for free as long as you don’t mind missing out on all the build-up.
You can also stream Foxtel Now on Sony Android TVs, Chromecast, Airplay, Telstra TV, PS4 and the Foxtel Now box. New users get a 10-day free trial.
The seven rounds you can watch are below, and you can find the key dates on our V8 Supercars calendar:
- Superloop Adelaide 500 (Round 1)
- Watpac Townsville 400 (Round 8)
- Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 (Round 12)
- Vodafone Gold Coast 600 (Round 13)
- Sandown 500 (Round 14)
- Coates Hire Newcastle 500 (Round 15)
Watch V8 Supercars live on Foxtel iQ
For the traditional V8 Supercars live viewing experience, direct to your TV with no device as the middleman, Foxtel IQ remains your best option. The latest IQ4 set-top box does allow for 4K content, which is one of the big plusses of the service. At this stage, Foxtel has not confirmed which, if any, of this year’s races will be broadcast in 4K, but we’ll update this page as news comes to hand. Last year, Bathurst 1000 was broadcast in 4K, for example.
How to watch V8 Supercars online for free
In line with our above comparison, Kayo Sports is not only the best way to watch the V8 Supercars series, but it’s also the best way to stream the V8 Supercars series. With its litany of great sports-specific viewing features, and now with RaceView as well, it’s a no brainer. While this service isn’t free in its entirety, new users can make use of a 14-day free trial to get in a round without cost some time during the season.
For those hoping to watch V8 Supercars live on Channel 10’s streaming app TenPlay, we have bad news. The V8 Supercars rounds broadcast live on Channel 10 are not availble on the streaming app companion.
